Advanced Tasks : Editing map features

Editing map features
The web editing tools allow you to change features on a map and then save the changes so the latest map information is uploaded to a central source. Depending on your reason for changing the map and your role within your organization, edits can include drawing newly-constructed buildings, indicating where new trees have been planted along a boulevard or showing if land parcels have been divided. Additional attribute information related to those features can also be entered or updated.
NOTE:
Your map administrator enables the feature types that can be edited and the level of auditing, if any, is saved.
You can use web-editing tools to accomplish the following:
Select a feature using a selection tool to edit that feature
Create a new polygon, line or point feature. Available tools change if the type of feature being edited is a polygon (building), point (tree) or line (road).
Create a point or line feature and have it snap to a feature you select
Move features from one location to another
Merge multiple features into one feature
Delete features
Allow attributes to be entered for one or more features (bulk edit) using the attribute editor.
Accessing the web-editing tools
1. To open the Tools pane, from the command bar, select .
2. From the Tools pane, select Editing. The Editing window appears with several icons for editing the map.
